This role provides high-level HR support across UK and international teams, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR generalist with a strong understanding of people management, including managing one HR Advisor and overseeing a high volume of sensitive employee relations matters, within a legal services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated HR support to senior leadership teams across multiple regions.
* Partner with stakeholders on workforce planning, talent development, retention and succession.
* Line-manage a HR Advisor, providing guidance and support on day-to-day HR activities.
* Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle, ensuring processes are consistent, fair, and aligned to best practice.
* Support performance management and development processes, advising leaders on reviews, objectives, and people-related considerations.
* Manage and support a small HR team within the wider professional services function.
* Lead HR projects focused on engagement, policy development, operational improvements, and team effectiveness.
* Provide guidance on sensitive employee matters as part of wider people management support, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintain HR systems and reporting, ensuring accurate and insightful data for leadership.
* Work collaboratively with the wider HR function to ensure consistent support and workload allocation.
Skills Required:
* * Proven HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, professional environment, ideally within legal or professional services.
* Good knowledge of employee relations and people management, including managing one HR Advisor and overseeing a high volume of sensitive employee matters.
* Confident advising senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to handle confidential matters with discretion.
* Proactive, adaptable, and able to pick up new processes and systems quickly.
* Collaborative, team-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
