About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Sales Executive to drive new business growth and expand existing customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in consultative B2B sales, understands complex software solutions, and enjoys working with senior stakeholders across public and private sector organisations. You will be responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation, and close—while working closely with product, delivery, and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
* Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with Unilink’s software portfolio
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
* Conduct needs analysis and present tailored software solutions to customers
* Manage the full sales cycle, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
* Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and commercial responses (including public sector bids where applicable)
* Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company objectives
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery
* Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales updates
* Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and customer needs
Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience in B2B software sales to government
* Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions in business terms
* Experience managing long or complex sales cycles
Desirable:
* Experience selling into the public sector, justice, or regulated environments
* Familiarity with tendering frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, Crown Commercial Service)
* CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics)
* Understanding of software delivery models and implementation processes
