Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager for a project based in Braintree, Essex. This is a freelance role offering £450–£500 per day, with an expected duration of 8–10 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and issuing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
*
Client liaison, maintaining clear communication and progress updates
*
Managing the project programme and coordinating site activities
*
Supervising subcontractors and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
*
Monitoring progress and resolving site issues as they arise
*
Maintaining site documentation and reporting
Working Hours:
*
Monday – Thursday: Full day
*
Friday: Half day on site (paid as a full day)
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager
*
Strong knowledge of RAMS and health & safety procedures
*
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
*
Ability to manage programme and coordinate trades effectively
*
Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid preferred
*
NG Persons ticket would be beneficial but is not essential
