Site Manager – Borders General Hospital Site and Capacity Team
Position: 37 hours Band 7, NHS Borders
This role is based at Borders General Hospital and is part of the Site and Capacity team.
Responsibilities
* Act as senior decision maker for the shift in collaboration with the Charge Nurse team and Flow Coordinator.
* Facilitate patient flow from the Emergency Department to inpatient areas and through BGH, ensuring the EAS is met and patients reach the right place at the right time.
* Work closely with Clinical Nurse and Service Managers and General Managers to support the process and escale issues to relevant services.
* Ensure safe staffing during out‑of‑hours periods and support ward decisions to maintain patient safety.
* Attend fire, violence and aggression incidents and clinical emergency calls, taking charge of the situation.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a nursing role at Band 6 or 7 level. The post operates a day/night rotation.
