About the role: To support the Academy’s Human Resources function to develop and implement Human Resources and Organisational Development strategies in order to improve organisational performance, support change management, and provide professional HR advice to Principals and their senior leadership teams.
Accountable to: Business Operations Manager
* Organise and support meetings, events and functions to support delivery of Trust’s priorities.
* Contribute to the delivery of the team’s agreed objectives including participating in relevant projects that support the delivery of the Trust’s development plans.
* Role model the Trust’s values and work in accordance with health and safety, equal opportunities and environmental policies.
* Manage the full recruitment cycle including working with managers to define job needs, preparing job descriptions, and managing the resourcing process.
* Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns including preparing recruitment packs and posting recruitment adverts, including co-ordinating the appointment process for successful applicants.
* Inputting, creating and maintaining employee data on all relevant electronic and hard copy systems.
* Responsible for the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all pre-employment checks have been carried out, including eligibility to work, DBS, overseas police checks, health checks etc. Ensuring all required documents have been checks and updated on the HR system accordingly.
* Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations.
* Supporting the HR Advisors with capability investigations, including grievances and disciplinary cases.

Key Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
* Producing letters/reports/minutes and other notes and correspondence as required
* Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, new starter/leavers forms etc.
* Ensure the relevant HR databases are up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
* Office support for the work of the senior teams of the Trust under the management of the Business Manager who will prioritise and allocate tasks
* Assist in the recruitment process, organise interviews and issue relevant correspondence
* Liaise with recruitment agencies for permanent recruitment and long term cover
* Diary management, arranging meetings, setting appointments and dealing with associated enquiries
* Accurate use and upkeep of systems of filing and office record keeping
* Data entry to Trust IT support systems to support the office functions of the organisation
* Arrangements for incoming and outgoing mail
* Escalating more complex cases as appropriate to the HR Advisor.
* Supporting line managers with end-to-end employee life cycle processes, including preparing HR documents; creating and maintaining templates
* Work with the Director of People and HR Business Partners to support with driving HR initiatives locally, including change management programmes, HR projects, case management etc.

* Keep up to date with developments in your area of responsibility
* Take responsibility for your own professional development in discussion with your line manager.
* Ensure the consistent implementation of school and Trust policies and procedures throughout the subject areas.
* Work collaboratively with the other academies and colleagues within the Trust.
