Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our client’s team in Abingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company with the potential for ongoing work.
1. Position: Labourer
2. Location: Oxfordshire
3. Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 (Dependant on experience)
4. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (with occasional on-call duty)
5. Job Type: Permanent
Key responsibilities include:
6. Installing ceiling track hoists, stair lifts, and other mobility equipment
7. Surveying properties & liaising with healthcare professionals to plan installations
8. Carrying out servicing, repairs, and testing of equipment
9. Collecting and removing equipment from service users' homes
10. Responding to emergency out-of-hours calls (rota basis)
11. Completing job paperwork, using scanners, and updating documentation
12. Maintaining your work vehicle and van stock levels
13. Looking after tools and reporting any issues
14. Communicating with supervisors about job or product concerns
About You:
15. Strong DIY skills and mechanical aptitude
16. Knowledge of building construction a bonus
17. Excellent communication and teamworking skills
18. Able to work independently and follow detailed procedures
19. Full UK Driving Licence required
20. Qualification in carpentry, electronics or engineering preferred
21. Previous van driving and customer-facing experience desirable
