Cluster Events Sales Executive, Malmaison & Hotel du Vin York Up to £13.50 Per Hour including TRONC, 40 Hours Permanent Contract York A dynamic and results-driven individual to take charge of pro-actively selling the hotel bars and restaurants and supporting the overall hotel sales strategy. Play a vital role in promoting and generating revenue for our hotels by focusing on driving business specifically to Malmaison Bar & Grill, Sora and Bistro du Vin. Strategic Sales: help develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on maximizing revenue generation within the bars and restaurants Business Development: identify potential clients, build relationships, and expand the customer base for the bars and restaurants through pro-active sales outreach Showcase: arrange and attend internal/external showcases demonstrating the unique offerings, ambiance, and culinary experiences of our bars and restaurants for special events and weddings Relationship Building: establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, wedding co-ordinators, and other potential sources of business to drive increased footfall to the bars and restaurants Social Media: support the management and content of relevant social media platforms and third party adverting in line with brand guidelines to promote all F&B offerings for the bars and restaurants Networking: attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the hotel bars and restaurants, build brand awareness, and generate new leads Market Research: stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly Collaborative Approach: collaborate closely with the Brand Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to align sales initiatives and ensure seamless execution of events and promotions Revenue Tracking: monitor sales performance, track revenue goals, and provide regular reports to the management team on sales progress, achievements, and areas for improvement Teamwork: assist the Regional Account Manager and Meetings & Events Team in achieving revenue objectives for key accounts by supporting outreach events, conversion days, client meetings and property show rounds, as/when required Christmas & NYE : ensure local businesses and previous bookers are contacted pro-actively and are up to date with offerings to support new and repeat business, and achieve revenue targets Special Events: manage the creation, planning and promotion of special events to drive revenue into key dates (ie. Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Race Days, NYE) Strategic Plans: support the content and delivery of the Hotel Action Plans, disseminating actions and communication effectively with relevant departments to drive revenue and best practice Wow Factor: monitor and communicate VIP guests, to ensure they are prioritised at all touch points Weekly & Monthly Reports: To produce a weekly and monthly reports with an analysis of performance against forecast and budget, along with outlook for the weeks/months ahead. Providing a summary of all activities, successes, opportunities, red flags and local market intelligence What we expect; To manage meeting, private event and wedding enquiries ensuring business is negotiated for the hotel that is deemed to be most suited for that opportunity and in line with their business needs To drive occupancy and revenue from the meetings and events spaces within the hotel To drive catering revenues in all areas within the hotel To work according to the SOPs within the brand, ensuring adoption of best practice Creation of clear event documentation and ensure the smooth running of events To support M&E/Sales Manager with activities, to optimise relationships and revenue production To support the conversion of group enquiries via the CSO To support the weekly M&E forecast by creating business blocks to the required standard and with accurate revenue forecasts for each block To achieve annual and quarterly KPIs, revenue targets and hotel budgets To develop and maintain the respect of guests, staff and management.
