The Role
As an OHL (Overhead Lines) Site Manager, you will lead the on-site delivery of power infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of construction works. You will collaborate with project leadership throughout all project stages—from planning to handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage on-site construction activities for OHL projects.
* Support Project Managers/Directors in delivering projects within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
* Manage site resources effectively and ensure compliance.
* Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate site records and progress documentation.
* Inspire and lead on-site teams, ensuring safety and performance.
* Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
* Drive innovation and leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
* Balance project objectives related to time, cost, scope, risk, and quality.
What you'll be doing
* Participate in project reviews and maintain project documentation.
* Prepare reports and liaise with stakeholders.
* Implement technical information and drawings into delivery.
* Ensure safety and environmental standards are upheld.
* Support accident investigations and safety initiatives.
* Manage workforce competencies and safety documentation.
* Coordinate with project activities and internal functions.
* Manage subcontractors and procurement plans.
* Control project expenditure and resources.
* Identify and report risks and hazards.
* Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring delivery to schedule.
* Escalate issues and support decision-making.

* Experience in safe systems of work and risk management.
* Understanding of standard contract forms.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach.

* Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Desirable qualities/experience:
* Experience with various project types.
* Proficiency in O365.
* Valid driving license.
* Holds CSCS and SSSTS or equivalent certifications.
