Role Title: Game Frameworks Developer
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Great games are the bedrock of Inspired, and our developers are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a highly motivated and highly skilled developer to join our Game Frameworks team. This is a key role where you’ll contribute not only to technical excellence, but to the overall quality and evolution of our proprietary game framework.
You’ll be involved throughout the full lifecycle of our products from initial concept and design through architecture, development, testing, and distribution working with cutting-edge technology on some of the most advanced gaming hardware in the industry.
What you will do:
As a Game Frameworks Developer, you’ll architect, develop and maintain robust, reusable libraries that enable our game teams to deliver high-quality products efficiently and reliably. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll help set technical standards, mentor others, and continuously improve our development practices.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing library code used by the game development teams
2. Working as part of a small development team to deliver projects to schedule
3. Writing efficient, stable, and flexible code suitable for production environments
4. Mentoring and supporting less experienced developers where required
5. Developing automated test code to validate library functionality
6. Working closely with QA teams to triage, debug, and resolve issues
7. Developing our in-house game engine and tooling
8. Estimating work, maintaining feature lists, and tracking progress throughout development
9. Producing clear technical documentation and contributing to standardisation
10. Continuously developing your own technical knowledge and programming methodologies
Key Experience Required:
11. Professional programming experience spanning 5 years or more
12. Expert-level knowledge of C++, particularly C++20
13. Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
14. Knowledge of Graphics APIs, particularly DirectX 9 and 11
15. Knowledge of source control systems, particularly Git
16. Experience with asynchronous programming primitives (coroutines, goroutines, promises/futures, callbacks)
17. Provable experience of developing and maintaining code used over multiple projects
What we are looking for:
18. Expert-level C++ knowledge with proven commercial use
19. Experience developing and maintaining codebases used across multiple projects
20. Strong ability to work with existing code and solve problems beyond your immediate domain
21. Strong mathematical and probability skills
22. Experience with estimation, task breakdown, and long-term development planning
23. Experience of automated peer review processes
24. Familiarity with Agile, TDD, or BDD methodologies
25. Recent experience developing retail or online gambling applications
