Our client is delivering a significant upgrade programme as part of the AMP8 framework, focused on enhancing infrastructure at a Clean Water Treatment Works. This includes the construction of a new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plant alongside upgrades to the existing clean water facility. They are seeking a Site Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this high-profile and essential project.
Key Responsibilities on Site
* Oversee daily site activities, coordinating both direct teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery.
* Drive adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all operations.
* Monitor project performance, tracking progress against programme, budget, and key milestones.
* Facilitate communication between clients, stakeholders, and internal commercial teams.
* Manage and review RAMS, permits, audits, and site safety briefings to maintain compliance.
* Identify and resolve engineering or technical challenges as they arise on site.
* Ensure consistent quality assurance and control throughout all phases of the works.
* Support value engineering initiatives while coordinating multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong organisational capability, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
* Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale or multiple concurrent work packages.
* Effective communicator, confident working with site teams, designers, subcontractors, and clients.
* Solid understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and NEC contract frameworks.
* Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, data, and specifications accurately.
* Proven leadership skills, with experience delegating and managing team performance.
* Analytical thinker with well-developed problem-solving skills.
* A clear commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all activities.
Qualifications & Certifications
* HNC (or higher) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS, EUSR (1 & 2), and TWC certifications.
* First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications.
* Background in M&E works and experience within the water sector.
* Competency in Microsoft Office 365 and CAD software.
