Following the successful promotion of the current incumbent, a thriving school community is seeking a dynamic and proactive Site Manager. This is a permanent opportunity for a facilities professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, inspiring environment for staff and pupils while leading on compliance and innovation.
The Role The Site Manager operates on a permanent, 52-week contract, providing essential oversight of the school’s physical assets. This position requires a split-shift pattern to support the security and accessibility of the site:
* Monday – Thursday: 7.00am – 3.30pm (1-hour lunch)
* Friday: 7.00am – 3.00pm (1-hour lunch)
* Contract: 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
* Compliance & Safety: Overseeing the security, maintenance, and statutory compliance of the school site.
* Regulatory Leadership: Ensuring all legal standards are met, with a specific focus on the Building Safety Act, Martyn’s Law, and Fire Safety Regulations.
* Operational Management: Managing external contractors, facilities budgets, and resources with high levels of efficiency.
* Health & Safety: Leading on risk assessments, planned works, and championing a culture of safety for all members of the school community.
* Team Collaboration: Engaging with a collaborative premises network across the Trust to share best practices and support.
Candidate Requirements
* Significant experience in premises, facilities, or estates management (education experience is highly desirable).
* Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
* A high level of IT proficiency and strong communication skills.
* A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
