Quality Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional to lead and develop the quality function, ensuring products and processes meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality performance, managing compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the site quality function across manufacturing operations
* Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
* Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and process efficiency
* Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions
* Monitor quality KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management
* Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality
* Manage and develop the quality team, providing coaching and support where required
* Support supplier quality activities and supplier performance improvement
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quality Manager role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards
* Experience leading audits and managing compliance activities
* Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
* Ability to analyse quality data and implement effective corrective actions
* HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred
