The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Quality Manager to take a leadership role on major industrial construction projects. This position is ideally suited to individuals with a strong background in new build boiler installations, Energy from Waste (EfW), or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) developments.
You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of project quality, ensuring that construction activities meet rigorous compliance, regulatory, and client standards throughout the full lifecycle of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
* Monitor and audit on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to quality specifications and procedures.
* Work closely with construction, engineering, and client teams to resolve quality issues and prevent non-conformances.
* Coordinate third-party inspections and liaise with regulatory bodies where required.
* Maintain accurate and thorough records of inspections, audits, and quality documentation.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project quality performance.
* Promote a strong quality and compliance culture across all site personnel and subcontractors.
Candidate Profile:
* Demonstrable experience in quality management on large-scale industrial construction projects, ideally in EfW, CHP, or boiler construction.
* Recognised quality or engineering qualification (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards and codes.
* Proven ability to develop and manage quality systems and procedures in a construction environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* CSCS (Black or White Card), relevant safety certifications, and auditing qualifications preferred.
* Willingness to travel and work on-site across the UK as required.
