Yolk Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded, multi-office law firm with the recruitment of an Employment Law Solicitor to join their growing Employment team, based in either Bristol or Gloucester. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious Employment Law Solicitor who enjoys advisory and contentious work, is confident managing their own caseload, and wants to play a key role in developing an Employment offering with genuine progression potential.
You will work closely with the Head of Employment, handling a varied mix of employer and employee matters, supporting wider commercial transactions where employment input is needed, and getting involved in business development and profile-raising activities. 2. Advising both employers and employees across the full range of Employment Law issues including contentious and non-contentious matters.
3. Supporting colleagues on complex files and providing employment input on corporate/commercial transactions.
4. Working to agreed billing targets, maintaining accurate electronic file records, and ensuring excellent client care.
5. Playing an active role in business development, networking, and raising the profile of the Employment offering.
The experience you will bring to the team
You will bring the following experience to the Employment team:-
6. Qualified Lawyer with solid Employment Law experience, ideally 3-5+ PQE, but there is flexibility for the right person.
7. Confident handling Employment matters for both employers and employees in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
9. Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to client service and relationship-building.
10. Interest in business development and, over time, supporting the growth of an Employment team.
This is what you will get in return
You will receive:-
11. Competitive salary dependent on experience.
12. Benefits package.
13. The choice of Bristol or Gloucester base, with scope to support work across other offices as needed.
14. Clear long-term progression opportunities as the Employment offering grows.
15. Support from an established leadership team in a friendly, high-performing environment.
