Site Manager – Healthcare Project, Tier 1 Contractor

£250-£320/day CIS
The Opportunity
I’m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major healthcare scheme in West London, delivering a new healthcare building. They are looking to bring in an experienced Site Manager to operate as a Floor Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day delivery on a live construction environment.
This is a role suited to someone strong on coordination, programme management, and driving trades through to completion.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and leadership of site operations, ensuring programme delivery, Health & Safety compliance, and quality standards are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Daily Site Management
* Drive daily site activities in line with programme, ensuring progress towards ceiling closures and key milestones
* Maintain and update daily progress trackers (MEP works enabling ceiling closures)
* Identify target areas for upcoming ceiling closure activities on a weekly basis
* Review programme weekly, identifying delays and implementing mitigation strategies
* Lead weekly look-ahead meetings covering actions and deadlines
* Attend daily coordination (“Black Hat”) meetings
* Maintain weekly photographic progress records
General Coordination & Record Keeping
* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date site diary
* Ensure smooth coordination and logistics across all trades
* Use digital systems such as FieldView, Dalux, or ASite where required
Health, Safety & Environmental
* Review and approve RAMS prior to works commencing
* Enforce site-wide H&S standards in line with company policy
* Issue permits (e.g. Hot Works) where required
* Participate in H&S inspections and ActSafe checks
* Drive behavioural safety initiatives on site
Quality Assurance & Inspection
* Ensure all technical submissions are approved prior to installation
* Confirm ITAPs are in place before works begin
* Manage MRI/WIR processes and inspections
* Issue NCRs and manage site deviations where required
* Witness and sign off key testing activities
* Support inspections with building control and close out actions
Commercial & Reporting Support
* Raise site instructions in a timely manner
* Contribute to monthly reporting and forecasting
* Assist with tracking variations and project events
Subcontractor Management
* Manage Contractor Design Portion (CDP) packages
* Chair weekly subcontractor meetings and issue minutes
* Identify performance issues and take appropriate action
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on healthcare or complex fit-out projects
* Strong MEP coordination experience
* Solid understanding of QA processes, inspections, and documentation
* Confident managing subcontractors and driving programme on site
* Proactive, organised, and able to operate in a fast-paced live environment
