Role Description
We're looking for a versatile, hands-on Support & Maintenance Developer to join our team. You'll act as a technical "Swiss Army Knife" working across multiple projects, customers, and technologies. This role requires someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems under pressure, and can switch contexts quickly while maintaining strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. While we envisigae that this job can be mostly performed remotely we would prefer someone who could come to our office in Huddersfield once per week.
Responsibilities
* Provide ongoing support and maintenance for customer solutions across multiple projects.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Work directly with customers to gather requirements, clarify issues, and deliver updates.
* Contribute to bug fixes, small enhancements, and optimizations across different systems.
* Collaborate with internal development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
* Maintain documentation of fixes, processes, and support cases.
* Ensure systems are stable, secure, and performant in production environments.
* Context-switch effectively between different customers and projects, balancing priorities.

SQL Server (including query optimization and debugging)
Skills & Experience
* Solid experience developing and supporting systems in C#/.NET.
* Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
* Experience with SQL Server: writing queries, debugging performance issues, and managing schema changes.
* Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
* Comfortable working directly with customers to understand issues and explain solutions.
* Ability to context switch between different projects, technologies, and customers without losing focus.
* Good communication skills—able to explain technical problems in plain language.
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice-to-Have
* Exposure to other databases (Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL).
* Familiarity with DevOps tooling and monitoring (e.g., Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch).
* Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
* Background in multi-tenant or SaaS applications.
* TypeScript, React, Node, NextJS
