We’re working with a welcoming Newcastle secondary school looking for a confident, committed Learning Mentor. They specifically want someone with upper primary classroom experience—ideal for those who are great at managing older primary pupils and want to bring that skillset into a secondary environment.
This role could also suit a qualified primary teacher who’s curious about secondary but wants to step in at mentor level, not teaching.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting pupils in Key Stage 3 who need help with behaviour, confidence, or engagement
* Drawing on your upper primary experience to set clear boundaries and build positive relationships
* Working closely with the school’s pastoral team and class teachers
* Helping pupils re-engage with learning in a structured, supportive way

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
