Site Manager (Social Housing)
We are currently supporting a well-established UK construction and property services contractor who, due to continued growth, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team in Crewe.
This role will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with a strong potential to become permanent for the right individual. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Position: Site Manager
Duration: 3 months (temp-perm)
Location: Crewe
Salary: £240.00 per day - £260.00 per day
The Role
You will be working on a long-standing social housing refurbishment contract, supporting kitchen and bathroom maintenance, roof, window & door replacements and upgrade programmes for a major registered housing provider.
This is a hands-on site leadership role, ideal for a Site Manager who is confident managing multiple workstreams, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes in occupied properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and take responsibility for all electrical works within kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes
2. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and waste management policies
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date H&S documentation
4. Induct all staff, subcontractors, and visitors to site
5. Ensure customer satisfaction standards are met at all times
6. Manage, motivate, and support directly employed site staff
7. Maintain high standards of site presentation
8. Chair regular site meetings and pre-plan works
9. Ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and subcontractors
What You'll Need
10. Experience within the social housing sector
11. NVQ Level 4 / HNC (or equivalent experience)
12. SMSTS
13. Scaffold Inspection
14. CSCS Card
15. Asbestos Awareness (Duty to Manage desirable)
16. Full UK Driving Licence
17. Strong communication and leadership skills
18. Kitchen & bathroom refurbishment background
