Mount Stuart has a permanent staff level of 44, with 32 seasonal roles (Apr to Oct). The role of the HR Officer is to support the Senior Leadership Team in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, attendance management, discipline and grievance procedures and to provide HR advice and support to all staff as required. Recording and processing confidential information Develop and measure People KPIs on a monthly basis Necessary experience and skills:- Have generalist HR experience Certification from CIPD Be knowledgeable about key HR policies, processes and legislation Use Microsoft 365 and have experience of HR portals Possess excellent active listening, verbal and written communication skills Full Job Description As an HR Generalist, your role is crucial in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR systems and processes are maintained effectively, and fostering a culture aligning and promoting the Trust's values. The following outlines key responsibilities: Provide general HR support and advice to the Senior Leadership Team and managers on people-related matters, including performance management, absence management, conduct and capability issues. Draft and issue letters and HR documentation, including Disciplinary/Grievance letters, Return-to-work forms, Offers and Flexible Working Arrangements. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Senior Leadership Team with appropriate background and documentation. Maintain the Atlas HR portal real time to reflect all changes including starters, leavers, internal moves, and contract updates. All data is maintained to support efficient and reliable HR reporting with current, accurate and compliant information. Own the Trust’s recruitment processes for both permanent and seasonal staff members, developing recruitment strategies for each sector to attract best talent. Welcome new employees, guiding them through the onboarding process, company policies, procedures, and values. Actively promote and uphold the Trust's values in all HR practices and communications. Keep abreast of updates in HR legislation and best practices to inform the Senior Leadership Team and to ensure systems and documentation are compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GDPR, and identify areas for improvement in HR processes, suggesting practical solutions. Participate in engagement efforts such as employee surveys and team-building activities, working collaboratively with colleagues and management to implement changes that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
