We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to developing people and strengthening skills across the UK’s professional and learning sectors. They’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead their people function and help shape a culture where growth, inclusion, and collaboration thrive.
Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO and leadership team, this role combines both strategic and operational responsibilities. You’ll have the autonomy to design and implement initiatives that elevate employee engagement, leadership capability, and overall organisational performance.
This is a standalone position where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, perfect for someone who enjoys influencing at the top level while staying hands-on in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior leaders to provide expert HR advice and align people strategy with organisational priorities.
* Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, performance, and development.
* Lead on HR policies, compliance, and employee relations, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organisation.
* Design and deliver learning, leadership, and talent development initiatives that build capability and drive performance.
* Review and enhance reward structures, HR systems, and processes for long-term efficiency and impact.
* Produce insightful HR data and reporting to support strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
About You
You’ll be an accomplished Senior HR Manager who thrives in organisations that focus on learning, growth, and people development. You bring:
* Proven experience managing a standalone HR function or leading HR within a growing, values-driven business.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best-practice HR frameworks.
* Hands-on experience managing ER, performance, and engagement initiatives.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
* CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent experience.
* 15 + years of experience
* A proactive, coaching-oriented approach with a passion for developing others and embedding positive change.
