We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Foreman to oversee the on-site execution of interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects across marine‑based environments. This role is focused on field leadership, coordination of trades and suppliers, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery from mobilisation through completion and handover.
You will take operational control at the site level, working closely with Project and Operations leadership to translate project scope into practical site delivery. Depending on project size, you may take full site responsibility or lead defined work packages.
Candidates with strong land‑based fit‑out and interior construction experience are encouraged to apply, even without marine backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct and supervise day‑to‑day site activities for interior fit‑out and refurbishment works across multiple project types.
* Act as the primary on‑site lead, coordinating labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain programme and quality targets.
* Review drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure accurate site execution.
* Convert approved project plans into site schedules, task sequencing, and resource deployment.
* Coordinate material deliveries, plant, and equipment with procurement and supply chain partners.
* Participate in project briefings, coordination meetings, and progress reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
* Monitor workforce levels and trade coverage, recommending adjustments to maintain schedule performance.
* Support cost and resource planning through site feedback on labour, materials, and productivity.
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with client requirements, approved scope, and technical standards.
* Maintain accurate site records including progress updates, variations, and issue logs.
* Undertake additional operational duties as assigned by senior management.
Health, Safety & Compliance Duties
* Enforce site health, safety, and environmental controls at all times.
* Verify that all personnel use appropriate PPE and follow approved method statements and risk assessments.
* Promote safe systems of work and intervene where unsafe practices are observed.
* Ensure incidents, hazards, and near misses are reported and documented without delay.
* Comply with company safety policies, including drug and alcohol requirements where applicable.
* Safeguard employees, visitors, and third parties while works are underway.
Technical Background & Sector Exposure
Experience in one or more of the following is valuable:
* Commercial, residential, or specialist land‑based interior fit‑out projects
* Multi‑trade interior environments (joinery, partitions, finishes, MEP interfaces, FF&E installation)
Core Skills
* Strong site leadership and trade supervision capability.
* Practical understanding of fit‑out sequencing and installation methods.
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
* Competence with standard measurement and site verification tools.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project or similar scheduling software).
* Effective planning, coordination, and priority management.
* Clear written and verbal communication with clients, trades, and suppliers.
* Solution‑oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

Experience & Eligibility
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in interior fit‑out, refurbishment, or outfit projects (marine or land‑based).
* Demonstrated experience leading sizeable multi‑trade site teams.
* Eligible to live and work in the UK.
* Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for project assignments, sometimes at short notice.
