About the Role
As UK Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the UK Quality Assurance team, supporting departmental objectives, and ensuring quality measures are aligned with broader company goals. You will work closely with the cross-functional leadership team to ensure compliance, manage audits, lead corrective actions, and support ongoing quality and business improvements.
You will be instrumental in maintaining and developing self-sustaining quality processes that cover standards such as AS9120, AS-100, and FAA AC 00- 56A. You'll also help ensure that quality requirements are met or exceeded in every product and service we deliver.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the UK Quality Assurance team to meet departmental and company objectives.
Maintain and enhance business management systems that align with aerospace and regulatory standards.
Ensure ongoing compliance with AS9120, ASA-100, FAA AC 00-56A, and customer-specific requirements.
Monitor and report on UK Quality KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Lead the internal audit process globally and ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality objectives with broader business goals.
Support the resolution of customer, supplier, and internal quality issues.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovative solutions and enhanced processes.
Support Supplier Management processes to ensure part quality and compliance.
Provide expertise and guidance on ISO standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a strong leader with a proven track record in quality assurance and continuous improvement within the aerospace industry—ideally with experience in the fastener supply chain.
Experience & Skills Required:
Minimum of 3 years in a Quality Management role within aerospace.
At least 7 years' experience in Quality Assurance.
Deep knowledge of ISO9001, AS9120, and awareness of AS13001, AS13100, ASA-100, FAA AC 00-56A.
Understanding of EASA/FAA regulatory requirements, including Parts 21, 66, 145, and 147.
Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards is advantageous.
Skilled in auditing (lead auditor trained) with the ability to analyse and improve processes.
Competent in interpreting technical drawings, standards, and using measurement tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and lead change effectively.
Education & Qualifications:
Degree-educated or with extensive industry experience.
7 years of relevant experience.
Membership with the Chartered Quality Institute (MCQI) and Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) status preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) would be a distinct advantage.
