Blue Heron Restaurant & Catering in Sunderland, MA is seeking an experienced line/kitchen utility cook. The ideal candidate is reliable, a good team player, and has a strong work ethic.
Applicants must be able to work nights and weekends, including Saturdays, Sundays, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving.
Responsibilities
* Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
* Prepare food for service (e.g., chop vegetables, butcher meats, prepare sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Clean up station and manage leftover food according to health and safety standards
* Stock inventory
* Maintain clean and sanitary work areas
Qualifications
* Culinary certification or equivalent experience
* ServSafe certification required
* 2-3 years previous line experience
* Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and standards
* Able to anticipate the needs of others in the kitchen and proactively address them
* Strong attention to detail
* Works well with others
