ISS are a leading provider of Facilities Services in the UK, and they are seeking a proactive and personable HR Officer to provide business-focused guidance and support to the Key Account Director and the wider site-based team.
In this role, you will play a central part in promoting positive employee engagement, wellbeing, and high standards of people performance across the organisation. You will work closely with Operations Leads and managers to ensure that people management aligns with company values, policies, and employment law, contributing to a thriving, inclusive workplace culture.
Job Description
The HR Officer will provide hands-on support in managing casework, including sickness absence, informal grievances, early-stage performance management, and other employee engagement initiatives.
You will also play a key role in implementing the Central People & Culture strategy, monitoring and reporting on HR activities, and introducing improvements to management information to support data-driven decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on employee wellbeing, organisational performance, and workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and support to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
* Manage casework including sickness absence, informal grievance cases, and early-stage performance management.
* Collaborate with the Key Account Director and Operations Leads to drive high standards of people performance.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and client-specific requirements where applicable.
* Support the delivery of the People & Culture strategy and operational business objectives.
* Promote best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation.
* Research and implement evidence-based approaches to health, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
* Raise awareness of corporate social responsibility and charity activities to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
* Develop and improve management information, reporting insights to enhance decision-making processes.

* Proven ability to handle a variety of employee relations cases confidently
