We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Cook to join our team on an agency basis, working at one of our residential care homes a friendly and supportive care home located in Stowmarket (IP14 1AT).
Location: Woodfield Court, Violet Hill Road, Stowmarket, IP14 1AT
Position: Care Home Cook (Agency)
Hours: Flexible shifts available (daytime hours, including weekends)
Pay: GBP16- GBP17 per hour (paid weekly) entitled to Holiday pay
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook nutritious, home-style meals for residents.
* Cater to individual dietary needs and allergies.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
* Work in line with care home policies and food safety regulations
* Collaborate with care staff to ensure meal satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Cook in a care home or similar setting
* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher) required.
* Knowledge of special dietary needs (e.g., diabetic, pureed diets)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
* Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen efficiently.
* Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent care.
