We're looking for an HR Manager to provide day‑to‑day support to our HR Team based in our Bellshill site on an 18-month fixed term contract basis.
As HR Manager, you'll be the go‑to advisor on people, organisation and capability matters, balancing business priorities with the needs of our people to help build a high‑performing, inclusive culture.
As HR Manager, you'll partner proactively with team leaders across the site throughout the full HR lifecycle, ensuring policies and processes are applied consistently and fairly. You'll coach leaders, anticipate issues, and work closely with HR colleagues to deliver the people plan with a practical, solutions‑focused approach. The role also includes leading the HR Administration Team and providing support to wider business unit sites, as required.
Please note this is a maternity cover position, offered as an 18‑month fixed‑term contract based in our Bellshill location. Some travel to other sites may be required from time to time.
What You Will Be Doing
Partnering with leaders to shape a high‑performing, open and collaborative culture that emphasises inclusivity and accountability.
Leading and developing the HR Administration Team to ensure effective, high‑quality HR service delivery.
Embedding consistent HR practices through policies, principles, tools, and templates, aligning with Centre of Excellence guidance and local legal requirements.
Acting as a trusted advisor on organisation, people, and leadership matters; coaching leaders to develop their teams, anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
Supporting leaders to deliver robust talent, progression and succession processes that strengthen capability, performance management and future pipeline planning.
Delivering projects and supporting the implementation of HR programmes and site initiatives to agreed timescales.
Ensuring effective management of routine HR activities—including recruitment, L&D and ER case management—while coaching leaders to build confidence, competence, and accountability.
Providing HR support to wider OBU sites where needed, ensuring consistency, alignment, and strong cross‑site collaboration.
About You
Solid experience in a generalist HR role partnering with operational leaders, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or similar environments.
Experience leading or guiding an HR and/or HR administration team.
Strong data‑analytical capability.
Confidence navigating employment legislation and applying policy with fairness and sound judgement.
Effective coaching, influencing, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and move work forward.
Experience in competency‑based hiring, as well as knowledge of succession, talent, and L&D frameworks.
A data‑driven mindset, using insight to inform decisions and track outcomes.
