Position: HR Manager

Location: Stanley House, Anthony's Way, Medway City Estate, Rochester, ME2 4NF

Line Reporting Manager: HR Director

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

Negotiable Salary


Principal Duties and Accountabilities

* Lead and manage the HR function, providing advice and guidance to the company’s leadership team and managers on employment issues.


Roles and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligning with business objectives.
* Develop, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures.
* Stay informed about changes in employment law legislation.
* Advise managers on employment terms and best practices.
* Coach and advise managers on performance and conflict resolution.
* Lead TUPE transfer processes in line with guidelines.
* Provide recruitment and selection strategy advice.
* Oversee and update the electronic HR database and personnel files.
* Support change management initiatives.
* Participate in implementing projects, procedures, and guidelines.
* Manage the annual pay review process.
* Utilize HR metrics and analytics to monitor performance and identify improvements.
* Ensure the HR team delivers consistent, efficient services and optimize HR operations.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and development to the HR team to enhance their skills and service quality.


Qualifications and Competencies

* CIPD Qualification (minimum Level 5)
* Experience in a HR Management role
* Extensive knowledge of employment law
* Experience working in a busy HR environment
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
* Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders
* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Resilient and adaptable
* Discretion and confidentiality
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems


Health & Safety

Comply with Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and promote a positive safety culture. Responsibilities include ensuring safe work practices, maintaining housekeeping, reporting incidents, and understanding emergency procedures.
