QA Manager (Construction)
Location: Multi‑site (live school environments)
Hours:
* Term Time: Mon–Thu 16:00–00:00, Sat–Sun 08:00–16:00
* School Holidays: Day shifts (approx. 07:30–17:30)
Role Overview
Seeking a QA Manager to oversee construction activities across multiple operational school sites. You will ensure safe, compliant and high‑quality delivery of works in line with BSA and CDM requirements. The role involves coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure safe site operations and review RAMS and H&S documentation.
* Monitor compliance with method statements and quality procedures.
* Coordinate supply chain partners to maintain programme delivery.
* Track progress, report daily, and maintain a detailed site diary.
* Complete end‑of‑shift checks to protect school operations.
* Liaise with internal teams and on‑site school staff to coordinate activities.
* Develop short‑term work plans aligned with the project programme.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong communication and ability to interpret drawings, programmes, and technical documents.
* Knowledge of construction methodology, sequencing, safety systems, and current regulations.
* Experience delivering construction works on active sites.
Desirable:
* Experience in live environments, refurb/remedial works (firestopping, masonry, acoustics, MEP).
* Team leadership capability.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Appropriate CSCS card
* Relevant construction qualifications
* SMSTS (5 Day)
* Full driving licence
Desirable:
* First Aid at Work
