Job Description Overview My client are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to oversee their retail construction projects, specifically on Marks & Spencer's projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fit-out and refurbishment projects within the retail sector and will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects to the highest standards. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of on-site construction projects, including overseeing subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a high level of quality control. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor and enforce site safety protocols and regulations to create a safe and inclusive work environment for all team members. Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that may arise, while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization on site. Communicate effectively with all project team members and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders. Day-to-day Oversee all on-site construction activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project timelines. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. Communicate regularly with the project team and provide progress updates to stakeholders. Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to uphold project standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Site Manager, within the retail construction industry. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, including fit-out and refurbishment projects. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment. Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
