Job Description
Do you have a passion for supporting children, young people, and their families? If you have a strong inclusive ethos and a desire to see improved outcomes for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, this could be the job for you!
The Education Division’s Interim Provision Service (IPS) is recruiting a highly experienced and dynamic Learning Mentor to join its Children’s Services team on a fixed‑term one‑year basis for the Hastings and Eastbourne areas.

You will play a vital, hands‑on role in transforming the educational journey of vulnerable children during critical transition periods. The job offers the opportunity to deliver personalised mentoring directly in young people’s homes, conduct essential welfare checks, and support teaching and learning in a specialist IPS centre. You will work autonomously and collaborate closely with multi‑agency teams, including parents, carers and teachers, ensuring holistic support that addresses both academic and personal development needs.
