Employment Lawyer
Service Care Legalare recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a local authority in the North London region. As an Employment Education Lawyer, you will provide high‑quality legal advice and representation throughout the council on employment matters.
Location: North London
Contract: 3 months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per week
Rate: £50ph LTD (£44.51ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £39.72ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)
Office attendance: Once per week
The Role
* Provide high‑quality legal advice and representation on employment matters including YUPE, unfair dismissals and tribunals.
* Advise on changes in legislation and case law that may impact our organization.
* Represent the council in courts, tribunals, and inquiries.
* Advise on occasional education law matters.
Role Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Filex with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE.
* Relevant experience working in employment and education law, preferably in local government.
* Significant specialism with depth knowledge in employment and education law.
* Experience conducting complex cases with minimal supervision.
