Art curator job description

An Art Curator is a professional responsible for acquiring, managing, researching, and exhibiting collections of art in a museum, gallery, or public/private institution. Their primary duties entail the interpretation and presentation of artworks, organising exhibitions, educating the public, and liaising with artists and stakeholders. A sound knowledge of art history, excellent research skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role. Moreover, they should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as they often write catalogues, articles, and grant proposals, and deliver presentations or lectures.
