Census officer job description

A Census Officer is a key role in the execution of national population surveys. The primary responsibility is to ensure the collection of accurate demographic data from households within a designated geographical area. Duties include delivering census questionnaires, assisting residents in filling out forms, and monitoring response rates. They also handle confidential information with utmost integrity. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving capability, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in a similar field may be beneficial but not always necessary as comprehensive training is typically provided.
