Finding a job where you are able to balance work and life is a daily goal for a lot of us. Because we spend more and more time at the workplace, we are constantly seeking ways of adjusting our private and personal life. From going for an energizing walk during the lunch break to adjusting commute time, we try to make daily changes to find happiness at the office. What we don’t realize is that what contributes the most to office happiness might be sitting just next to you.

Recent surveys show that 40% of employees claim that their co-workers are the number one reason for which they love working in their company. 66% of these respondents state that positive relationships with co-workers increase their productivity. Working in a friendly atmosphere helps reduce stress level linked to the job for 55% of the respondents. It turns out that most of us spend as much time, if not more with our co-workers than with our family members or friends outside the office.

Employers are becoming more aware of the importance of health and well-being of their employees. They are reinventing the workplace, to create a positive work experience for each worker. These adjustments contributes to the business's productivity as it reduces the risk of burnout and thus turnover.

It is proven that happy employees contribute to the company efficiency as a whole. Hours at the office may be long, days off can remain unused, but at least you get to spend your days with your best work buddies, who help you get the job done.
