In Ireland, candidates looking to work at Apple are being hired through employees who are already working for the company. Companies such as Amazon are also using this crowd recruiting process. These companies, which are continuously looking for skilled labor, use sponsorship systems to hire candidates. Facebook groups are being created and enable expats and new inhabitants to discuss employment opportunities with people working within the company they are looking to join.

The “sponsor” colleague is given financial benefits for each candidate who is hired thanks to him. The financial bonus is around £660 for companies like Apple and £550 for Amazon. Extra days off or purchase vouchers can also be included in compensation for a recruitment. The use of such practices is less expensive for companies than recruitment agencies. These multinational companies are often looking to employ hotline technicians. These type of positions can be offered to European students from various countries.

Is crowd recruiting a new practice? Crowd recruiting is the oldest recruitment process in the world. In the UK, the process remains present especially for positions in the computing sector for example. Social networks facilitate the use of this type of recruitment process.

This recruitment process gives you another good reason to expand your professional network and boost your visibility on networking websites such as Viadeo and LinkedIn. If you are looking for a position in Ireland, companies such as Facebook, Paypal, LinkedIn or Ebay have positions.
